Giovanna Fletcher - Christmas With Billy and Me

Giovanna Fletcher - Christmas with Billy and Me.
Giovanna Fletcher - Christmas with Billy and Me.

Hey guys, today's review is on this short story called Christmas with Billy and Me by Giovanna Fletcher.
You have no idea how excited I was when I learnt that Giovanna was writing this. I absolutely loved her debut novel which featured the characters Sophie and Billy - Billy and Me.

This follows up from Billy and Me so if you haven't read that book and don't want any spoilers from the original book, I suggest you click off this page now.

Christmas has come to Rosefont Hill and is destined to be a particularly special festive season for Sophie May.

Christmas has not always been Sophie's favourite time of year, since her dad passed when she was 11 her and her mum just kind of ignored it as it brought with it too many painful memories. However after working with Molly in the Tea Shop and being the place for the locals to go to after carolling, she soon realised there was more love to give at Christmas. Add in her handsome actor boyfriend Billy, her mum's new partner Colin and his two kids - this year is set to be a great Christmas.

One thing? With the passing of Molly, it's the first time Sophie has set the Tea Shop up for the locals - and their families without her best friend. With the help of her patchwork family she manages to pull off a special evening for everyone. She then gets an email from a smitten stranger asking if he could use her tea shop on Christmas Eve to propose to the woman he loves. Even though Christmas is a busy time for the tea shop, Sophie cannot refuse.

This was such a good read, I loved seeing where the characters where in their lives since the first book, I also got 8% in and was tearing up, that happened a few more times throughout the book. Giovanna really knows how to make you feel those feelings.

If you haven't read Billy and Me yet, I highly recommend it. Then get this, it's heart-warming, heart-breaking and just an all-round great book.
Plus if you want to feel festive, this is the book for you.

My only complaint is that I now want more of Billy and Sophie.

You can get this on Amazon for 99p.

xx
